Aboubacar Sidibé has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard this Monday, July 28, 2025. The Mali U20 international is now tied to the French third-division club until 2028.
Aboubacar Sidibé continues his impressive rise at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. The Malian defender takes a major step forward in his career by earning professional status. “FC Sochaux-Montbéliard is delighted to announce the signing of Aboubacar Sidibé’s first professional contract. The 19-year-old Malian forward, who joined in 2024 from the Africa Foot academy, has committed to FCSM through 2028,” reads the statement from the National league club.
Since his arrival in 2024, Sidibé has stood out for his adaptability and attacking prowess. With the U19 National squad, he played 20 matches and netted 4 goals. He also scored twice in four appearances for the reserves in National 3. On May 2, 2025, Sidibé received his first call-up to the senior squad for the away trip to Boulogne. He took part in the entire 2025-2026 preseason with the first team.
