Aaron Wan-Bissaka has thanked Manchester United fans in a farewell message posted on social media following confirmation of his move to Premier League rivals West Ham United.

Earlier today, West Ham unveiled Wan-Bissaka after weeks of negotiations with United.

The Englishman put pen to paper on a seven-year contract with the Hammers. Erik ten Hag’s side are believed to be in line to receive a £15m payment from parting ways with the player.

Wan-Bissaka took to Instagram and penned a message to United supporters.

The 26-year-old wrote, “To everyone associated with Manchester United, thank you.”

“You’ve helped me fulfill so many dreams of mine & I leave the club with memories to last me a lifetime.”

“I’m so grateful for the love, help and support I’ve had from players & staff during the last 5 years and wish you all nothing but the best.”

He added, “Thank you to the fans, you’ve stuck by us throughout the ups and downs. Appreciate you. Thank you so much, Reds.”

A number of United players including Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo reacted to Wan-Bissaka’s post and wished him good luck at his new club.

Bruno Fernandes wrote, “Will miss you spider.” Jadon Sancho remarked, “My family! All the best brother!”

United signed Wan-Bissaka in 2019 from Crystal Palace in a £50m deal, During his time at Old Trafford, the full-back won both domestic cup competitions – the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

He made 190 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions.

United’s move for Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui was contingent on Wan-Bissaka’s departure.
