Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany will return to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, with his Burnley side the challengers in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

After an emphatic 7-0 victory against RB Leipzig in the Champions League last-16 this week, with goals coming from a formidable Erling Haaland as well as Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan, Manchester City will be looking to build on the momentum and secure a comfortable progression to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s side head into the clash already having beaten a Championship side once in this season’s competition, with a strong victory against Bristol City in the fifth round.

Vincent Kompany’s Burnley have developed into a impenetrable side so far this campaign, holding a 17-game unbeaten run in the Championship – a far cry from the strictly defensive tactics employed by former Clarets manager Sean Dyche.
