Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this week moved once more to reveal his appreciation for the ongoing efforts of Raphinha.
This, of course, comes fresh off another dazzling display on the part of the Brazilian on Wednesday.
Raphinha, as expected, was afforded his latest starting berth last night, as Barcelona welcomed Borussia Dortmund to Catalunya’s capital for a Champions League clash.
And, en route to an eventual 4-0 Blaugrana rout, the former Leeds United man proved, arguably, the game’s standout performer.
After opening the scoring courtesy of a close-range finish, Raphinha went on to lay on assists for attacking partners in crime Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal, too.
As much took the 28-year-old’s tally for the campaign to an eye-watering 50 combined goals and assists this season.
And as alluded to above, one individual on whom the significance of such ongoing excellence was not at all lost is Hansi Flick.
Drawn on Raphinha’s latest showing during a post-match exchange with the media, Barcelona’s headmaster gushed:
“Raphinha continues to show that he is an unbelievable player. He’s proving what I saw in him since the first day. I am not surprised at all. He has proven that he’s always there. He’s a role model for his teammates.”
