Beyond the 4-0 scoreline, Chivas showed a tremendous footballing performance against Santos Laguna, as they combined extraordinary pressure with good ball handling. In addition, Santiago Ormeño came out inspired and sent any ball that passed in front of him into the back of the net.

We could go into tactical details, but we'll leave that for tomorrow, as we'll break down EVERYTHING the Rebaño did and didn't do against the Laguna side. In the meantime, here are the goals from the match:

- Chivas opened the scoring at 9' through Santiago Ormeño, who took advantage of a ball inside the box and with a low right-footed shot beat the Santos goalkeeper.- The 2-0 lead came at 13', thanks to a play on the right flank with 'Chapo' as the orchestrator, for Raúl López to push it into his own goal after Brizuela's shot off the counterattack.- The red and white storm did not cease and at 21' Ormeño scored again, this time after taking advantage of a loose ball inside the area that he had controlled with a left-footed half-volley. - To make sure there was no doubt about his great night, 'Ormegol' sealed his hat-trick with a solid header at 46'.
