Who will be the successor of Xavi Hernandez is the most eagerly asked question at FC Barcelona today. The current head coach has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season and has reiterated his intention to keep his word on multiple instances in recent weeks.

As a result, Barcelona would have to look for a suitable replacement, and several high-profile names have been linked with the club in this regard, including Jurgen Klopp, Antonio Conte, and Michel.

In such circumstances, another name that has been gaining some steam in recent weeks is that of the German tactician, Hansi Flick. As already reported here, the German is open to the idea of taking the reins at Barcelona, and has already started learning Spanish for this purpose.

Flick needs no introduction, as he won a sextuple with an unstoppable Bayern Munich team, and Barcelona fans have even more reason to remember him as he was the author of one of the club’s most humiliating nights in recent history.

The journalist Fabrizio Romano has also previously confirmed that Flick would “love” to coach Barcelona. Now, SPORT has provided another update on his links with the Catalan club and claims that Flick is really looking forward to taking the Barcelona job.

Furthermore, the coach is also looking for staff members who can speak both German and Spanish, and is considering Oscar Corrochano and Christian Fiel for this purpose.

After his stint at Bayern, Flick became the head coach of the German national team but has been without a job since leaving that position last September. Now, he is looking to get back into business, and get a job as a trainer at a top club, and Barcelona would be the ideal destination for him.

His winning record with the Bavarians would be a key factor that can make Deco opt for him from among several highly enticing options. However, as Deco himself recently stated, the Catalans have not yet spoken to any of these candidates, and a final decision will be made in the months to come.
