Top-of-the-table clash! On Saturday, 23 March at 17:45 CET, FC Bayern Women are away to VfL Wolfsburg. 1. Clash of the titans

The battle between the league leaders and their closest rivals isn't just a meeting of the best teams in the league. While Munich have the second-best attack with 38 goals behind Wolfsburg (45 goals), the defence led by captain Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir have conceded the fewest goals (five). The Wolves are in second place with 12 goals conceded.

Bayern have a slight edge in the head-to-head record. In total, the two teams have met 45 times in the Bundesliga, with the reigning German champions coming out on top 18 times. FCB went down to Wolfsburg 16 times, while 11 of the matches ended in draws. Most recently, the Munich women celebrated a 2-1 win at home at the FC Bayern Campus in front of 4,347 spectators.
