  1. Age: 21
  2. Club: Torino

Italian football has a long history of birthing top defenders and Wilfried Singo is following that trend; although not in the traditional sense.

The wing-back has been a revelation for Torino this season, scoring three goals and assisting four from his advanced position under manager Ivan Jurić.

Singo is extremely quick and thrives as an attacking outlet down the right, but also boasts strong technique when asked to tuck inside – keep your eyes peeled.

  2. Club: Borussia Mönchengladbach

Bundesliga clubs have found success when dipping into the French market and Gladbach have unearthed another exciting talent in Kouadio Koné.

The 20-year-old is comfortable at the base of midfield or further forward, pairing a strong defensive instinct with his ability to carry the ball forward.

Die Fohlen have suffered with inconsistency this season but the former Toulouse midfielder has been an impressive stable presence throughout.

Armando Broja

  2. Club: Southampton (on loan from Chelsea)

For all their troubles off the pitch, Chelsea have a proven track record at academy level and Armando Broja looks to be their latest jewel from Cobham.

The Albania striker has impressed on loan at Southampton – scoring six goals in 15 appearances – with his speed and strength perfectly suited to Premier League football.

It’s rumoured that Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and others are interested in signing the 20-year-old this summer but the Blues would be wise to keep him.
