Southampton's difference-making trio that must play a valuable role in claiming the three points against Crystal Palace.

Up until now, Southampton fans have accepted that the Saints will go as underdogs in front of Crystal Palace. Though the St. Mary's presents an encouraging home support, Southampton agree that the visitors are no less than an in-form Big Six outfit.

As a result, thinking of going toe-to-toe with them for straightaway two halves is a daunting ask. But the Saints have invited these miserable circumstances themselves where a lack of courage will quickly turn into a plethora of shameful mentions.

Hence, Saints stepping up is the need of the hour for the club. That being said, below are Southampton's three difference-makers who can shift the evening's tide in their favour.

Southampton's standout players for Crystal Palace matchup

Tyler Dibling

It's been a strange while since Tyler Dibling got on the scoresheet. The Swansea brace is seemingly a remote memory now and the Saints can't be criticised if they make these feelings clear to the 18-year-old every time he progresses inside the final third.

Coming to Dibling, Ivan Juric must show him the clips of his previous Crystal Palace goal on repeat. The former has looked pretty underwhelming in the past months and returning to old habits can do wonders for his diminishing morale.

If Dibling's initial spark is visible in mid-week, then Southampton will hold the keys to the full-time result.

Ryan Manning

Though Ivan Juric took very long to properly utilize Ryan Manning, the left-back's tenacious defending has come to aid Southampton's defence in the past weeks. Manning didn't allow much space to Mohammad Salah and a similar showing will be expected while facing Ismaila Sarr.

The 28-year-old's scarce involvement denied defensive solidity to the Saints in the previous Palace meeting and Manning has the perfect chance to show Southampton the man-marking quality they missed that day.

Paul Onuachu

Finally, let's hope that Ivan Juric gets his lineup choices spot on else there aren't many ways to overcome an unstoppable Crystal Palace team.
