POSITIVES

We’re getting quite good at penalties!

When the Sky commentator said Forest hadn’t missed a shoot out since 2006, I felt strangely optimistic, because at some point the tide has to turn.

As far as we’re concerned, I make that three out of four under Eddie Howe (Palace, Blackburn and now Forest, with Chelsea the only fail).

At 3-1 down, I thought we looked down and out, so it was vital Bruno didn’t miss and he delivered, big style.

Okay, Nick Pope hasn’t made a save, but big Joe apart, our spot kicks were better.

Sandro is back

Tonali played a key role in Willock’s goal and really should have doubled our lead a minute later.

He had energy and drive and was our outstanding player in the first half.

It was great to see him mixing with the fans after the shoot out victory.

Willock is back

A great goal from little Joe inside the first twenty seconds, which was fantastic to see.

NEGATIVES

Willock isn’t back!

I felt so sorry for little Joe, limping off after just fifteen minutes.

Another injury, let’s hope it’s not too serious

We were under par (again)

On balance, I don’t think we played particularly badly, but we did have a full strength team against (Elliot Anderson aside, who I thought played well) what amounted to Forest’s second string and given that, we really shouldn’t have let our early lead slip and end up enduring the lottery of a penalty shoot out.

I felt the last twenty minutes were much better, ironically once Forest had introduced some of their so called big guns.

Another Away Draw!

Okay, it’s against AFC Wimbledon, so it could have been worse.

After avoiding the English clubs participating in Europe, with just six balls left to draw, we could have got one of Chelsea, Brighton or Wolves, so another away draw is maybe not as much a negative as it could have been.
