FC Barcelona is a club that always aspires to do better and strive towards breaking new records. Despite years of financial issues and sporting uncertainties, the Catalan giants are now back and ready to compete for the top spot. Fortunately, Hansi Flick has the tools he needs at Barcelona to make that happen.
While most of the focus is understandably towards offensive talents and forwards, Barça is also focused on keeping in mind their defensive recruits and overall quality. After all, Barcelona Director Deco seems convinced about making sure that the team’s defense remains a key priority.
However, one player whose future has been discussed a lot recently is 26-year-old Uruguayan centre-back Ronald Araujo. Yet, even with all this noise surrounding him and his future at the club, Araujo just casually published a story on social media recently that could be seen as a potential hint about his future.
As highlighted by SPORT, Araujo plans to return early from his vacation and start training ahead of the preseason as well and his words on social media hint reflect that as well:

This caption was accompanied by a picture of his mate container which featured the FC Barcelona crest on it quite visibly. Ultimately, no matter what rumors spread around in the media, Araujo’s commitment and focus on Barca seems genuine enough for the immediate future.
Interestingly, Deco previously even ruled out the sale of Ronald Araujo this summer and instead chose to praise him. For the Barcelona Director, he remains one of the top centre-backs in world football and he continues to have Deco’s backing and support moving forward.
In terms of signings, however, it seems plausible that Barcelona will first look to complete the potential arrival of Nico Williams this summer before they deal with other pending operations. Considered a top target for the Catalan club, paying his release clause and ensuring his arrival seems to be the utmost priority right now primarily.
