Ferran Torres was one of the players who wanted to make an impact during the Barcelona preseason tour. Initially, he managed to do just that with his performances. Unfortunately, he was forced to miss the final game against Daegu FC.
The reason for that was muscular overload, and it is something that he still seems to be struggling with. According to the latest update provided by Mundo Deportivo, the player is currently training separately from the main group as he looks to recover.

As a result of this, the report suspects that the player could now be a major doubt for the Joan Gamper Trophy game against Como. A symbolic game for Barça, but it would be another opportunity for Torres to shine as well.
Unfortunately, if he does end up missing that game, the player would miss another chance to prove to Hansi Flick that he has what it takes to potentially even overthrow Robert Lewandowski. He has already been a threat to the Polish ace’s starting spot, and he likely does not want to stop anytime soon.
Still, regardless of whether he ends up playing that game or not, Torres is a key player for Flick moving forward. He showcased great goal-scoring ability last season, even with limited opportunities, and it would be unwise for anyone to count him out at any point.
