This is only the start of the 2024-25 season, but FC Barcelona are already facing a worrying injury situation. The new coach, Hansi Flick, is without the services of some of his important players, including Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Fermin Lopez, Marc Bernal, etc.

Ronald Araujo is among the players who are out for a significant period of time, as he suffered an injury in the hamstring tendon of his right leg while playing for his Uruguayan national side back in July.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Barcelona defender took to social media to share an image of himself working on his recovery plan in a humorous mood, indicating that the Uruguayan has his spirits high despite going through this difficult time.

Following this injury, Araujo had to travel to Finland to undergo surgery from Dr. Lasse Lampainen. This doctor has overseen the surgeries of several Barcelona players in the last few years, including Alejandro Balde when he suffered a hamstring injury.

Ousmane Dembele had also been treated by this surgeon several times during his Barcelona career, while Ansu Fati and Sergi Roberto have also been operated upon by him.

As things stand, the defender is on track to return to availability by the end of this year. He is going through a specific recovery plan, and the club also does not want to rush him back from this injury in order to minimize the risk of a relapse.

there have been no significant advances in this aspect, and he has also recently been linked with a move away from the club.
