La Liga giants Barcelona have this week afforded a trial to one of Mexican football’s next great talents.
That’s according to TUDN MEX, who point towards Gilberto Mora as the player in question.
Attacker Gilberto, for his part, has long been making a name for himself, as something of a star in the making in his home country.
After being afforded his senior debut by Xolos de Tijuana at just 15 years of age, the starlet went on to establish himself as the youngest goalscorer in the history of Liga MX.
And such endeavours, evidently, have not gone unnoticed across the pond.
As per a report from the aforementioned TUDN MEX, one of Spanish football’s leading clubs, in Barcelona, have come to the decision to afford a trial to Gilberto.
The striker is soon expected to fly to Catalunya’s capital, to get accustomed with the facilities at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Should he go on to impress, Barcelona could well then make a concerted effort to strike a deal with their Xolos counterparts, to bring in Gilberto on a permanent basis.
