There is still a lot of noise surrounding FC Barcelona in these final days of the summer transfer window. Despite not being likely to sign anyone, there is a possibility for certain departures to take place. However, one of those departures could be a major one.

In recent weeks, Spanish midfielder Fermin Lopez  has been linked heavily to interest from the English Premier League. Newcastle United and Chelsea, in particular, have been linked to the Barça player.

Fermin Lopez has some doubts due to his camp

According to Mundo Deportivo, however, Lopez’s desire is to stay at Barça but his camp continues to advise him to look beyond the club. That is also the primary reason as to why the player himself is having doubts as well.

With fierce competition within the squad and new signings set to limit opportunities even more, Lopez’s camp is pointing towards that as a major reason as to why Chelsea in particular could be a good opportunity.

Barcelona might consider an offer worth over €70 million

Moreover, the player’s entourage has reportedly informed Chelsea that an offer worth more than €70 million will likely make Barça consider it. For that reason, the London-based side is reportedly preparing a final push for Fermin Lopez as well. However, unless some major developments take place before the game against Rayo Vallecano, it is unlikely for Lopez to leave this summer.

Still, Barça would like to retain the player and Hansi Flick certainly wants to. Moreover, during his recent press conference, the German coach even provided an update on the future of the 22-year-old midfielder.
