It's all change for UEFA's club competitions in 2024/25 as the 'Swiss model' takes hold. The league phase of each competition will follow a new format, one that will look drastically different to previous group stages.

Of course, much of the talk surrounding this change has focussed on UEFA's biggest dog: the Champions League. However, both the Europa League and the recently established Conference League are undergoing the same format alterations.

UEFA's decision to add a third competition to the calendar has been a rare undeniable success, with the upcoming iteration being its fourth after Olympiacos claimed victory last time out.

A whopping 36 teams will be involved in the league phase in 2024/25, opening up more doors for teams across the continent to enjoy a piece of the pie. It may take some getting used to, but those competing won't be burdened by a more demanding schedule with just six games (as opposed to eight in the other two competitions) making up the league phase.

Here are all the teams that have qualified for the 2024/25 Conference League and the pots they have been placed into for the league stage draw.

2024/25 Conference League confirmed teams

At this stage, no teams are confirmed to be involved in the 2024/25 Conference League. Teams book their places via the two play-off paths, which will be played over two legs at the end of August. 12 losers from the Europa League play-off round will make up the remaining places in the league phase.

Chelsea, Lens, Real Betis, and back-to-back finalists Fiorentina are among the teams competing in the Conference League play-offs.

When is the 2024/25 Conference League league stage draw?

The draw for the 2024/25 Conference League league stage will occur following the conclusion of the play-offs in August. It's been scheduled for August 30 2024 and will be held at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The new Swiss model means the draw won't determine which group each qualified team will play in, but their six opponents instead. Every team will be drawn against one team from each of the six pots, with three games being played at home and three away.

The pots for the 2024/25 Conference League league stage will be determined once all teams in the competition are confirmed following the play-offs.

Unlike the four-potted Champions League and Europa League, there are six pots involved as part of the Conference League draw with six clubs in each. UEFA coefficients determine which pot each qualified team ends up in.

When is the 2024/25 Conference League final?

The 2025 Conference League final will take place on May 28 2025. Wroclaw Stadium in Wroclaw, southwest Poland, will play host to the final.

The stadium holds over 42,000 people and was built for Euro 2012 held in Poland and Ukraine.
