2024 Women's AFCON: Full schedule for matchday three
The third and final matchday of the group stage at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations will take place from July 12 to 14 in Morocco. With the exception of Nigeria, who have already secured their place in the quarter-finals, the remaining eleven teams are set for decisive clashes as they battle for a spot in the next round.
Each team will fight for their future in the tournament, with matchups promising plenty of excitement and intensity. These six encounters will determine the eight teams that will qualify for the quarter-finals. The top two from each group will advance directly to the knockout stage, while the two best third-placed teams will complete the quarter-final lineup.
In Group A, hosts Morocco will take on Senegal this Saturday, while Zambia go head-to-head with the Democratic Republic of Congo at the same time. After a convincing win over DR Congo on matchday two, Morocco will be looking to cement their dominance in the group.
Group B will deliver its two fixtures on Sunday, starting with a heavyweight clash between Nigeria and Algeria. The Super Falcons, already qualified, will need to be wary of the Algerian Fennecs, who have impressed in their opening games. At the same time, Tunisia will be looking to bounce back against Botswana in a do-or-die clash for both sides. The final matchday wraps up on Monday with Group C games. Defending champions South Africa face Mali in what promises to be a tightly contested battle, with both teams sitting on four points. The other fixture sees Ghana take on Tanzania, with both sides still in the running for qualification.
