The 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations is in full swing in Morocco, and the race for the tournament's top scorer is heating up.
Two players have pulled ahead at the halfway mark: Moroccan Ghizlane Chebbak and Senegalese Nguenar Ndiaye. They share the top spot in the scoring chart, each with four goals in two appearances.
Having scored the tournament's opening goal, Barbra Banda—who carries Zambia's hopes at this AFCON—followed up with a brace against Senegal. She currently sits in third place with three goals to her name.
Three other players have also made their mark with two goals each: Zambia's Racheal Kundananji, Senegal's Mama Diop, and Nigeria's Chinwendu Ihezuo.
