Real Madrid have one of the best midfield departments in the game currently with a great blend of youth and experience.
In Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Dani Ceballos, Carlo Ancelotti has seven quality options at his disposal for the four midfield positions in the current setup.
However, Tchouameni happens to be the only natural defensive midfielder in the ranks while both Kroos and Modric are out of contract at the end of the season.
Amidst this, Tomas Andreu of SPORT is reporting that Argentinos Juniors midfield prospect Federico Redondo is waiting for Real Madrid despite garnering interest from the likes of FC Barcelona and AFC Ajax.
Fede Redondo is the son of former Real Madrid midfielder and club legend Fernando Redondo. He also happens to be the nephew of another Los Blancos’ icon, Santiago Solari, who is also the current technical director of the club.
These connections to Real Madrid have led Barcelona to fear that the Merengues have already blocked the 20-year-old’s future.
Redondo is a talented, young pivot midfielder who has been likened to former Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets. He has over 50 senior appearances for Argentinos Juniors and his contract with the club expires in December 2024.

The report goes on to state that Barcelona and Ajax have had their eyes on Redondo for some time now and have even lodged enquiries about his future in Argentina.
However, there is a feeling that Real Madrid might have blocked his future due to his connections with the Merengues.
It is claimed that despite the enquiries and interest, Redondo has not signed for any club at this moment and is waiting for Real Madrid to make a move in 2024.
Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.
