Peterborough United have turned a corner over the last week, picking up back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Darren Ferguson’s side secured a 2-1 win over Hull City at the MKM Stadium last week, following that up with a home victory against QPR by the same scoreline on Saturday.

Posh now sit on 14 points from their opening 14 games, pushing themselves to 20th in the table and creating a five-point gap from the relegation zone.

Peterborough will be hoping to extend their winning run to three when they travel to the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday, but they will be well aware of the quality that their opposition possess.

Quiz: Do you know what club these 28 ex-Peterborough United players are playing at now?

Here, we take a look at two Peterborough players who could attract the attention of prospective buyers in the January transfer window.

Ronnie Edwards

Making his Championship debut on the opening day of the season, Ronnie Edwards has emerged as one of the division’s brightest stars.

The 18-year-old, who has played every single Championship minute in Peterborough’s last eight games, is proving to be an excellent option for Ferguson to have at his disposal.

Possessing some physical attributes that help him battle in England’s second-tier, it is more his ability on the ball that is impressive at present.

He has the composure, confidence and technical ability to be labelled as a ball-playing central defender, and it will be no surprise to see Edwards continue playing first-team football.

According to Manchester Evening News, Sir Alex Ferguson has called for Manchester United to sign the young defender, and it will be no shock to see more Premier League interest emerging in January.

Harrison Burrows

Another exciting academy graduate who is continuing to impress in the first-team environment is Harrison Burrows.

The 19-year-old, who is a real versatile option for Ferguson, has already netted three times in the Championship this season and has played 12 times in the second tier.

Seven of those 12 appearances have come in the form of starts, with Burrows operating on both wings, central midfield and a deeper holding role already.

Despite still being in his teenage years, Burrows looks extremely comfortable within the club’s first team, and for that reason, he could be on the radar of several clubs in January.
