Norwich City will be hoping to keep pace in the race for a top-six finish in the Championship by delivering the goods on a consistent basis at this level over the course of the coming months.
Currently fifth in the league standings, it will be interesting to see whether the Canaries decided to engage in some transfer activity next month.
The arrival of some fresh faces could potentially boost Norwich’s chances of securing an immediate return to the Premier League.
The Canaries may also need to make some decisions regarding the futures of some of their current players.
Here, we have decided to take a look at two Norwich transfers we could realistically see occurring in January…
In: Deniz Undav (loan deal)
As revealed exclusively by Football League World earlier this month, Norwich are one of a host of Championship sides who have enquired about the availability of Brighton & Hove Albion striker Deniz Undav.
Undav is also understood to be attracting interest from Burnley, Queens Park Rangers, Sunderland, Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers ahead of the upcoming window.
If Brighton are willing to let the striker leave on loan, Norwich may be able to convince the Premier League side to sanction a move to Carrow Road by offering some assurances regarding game-time.
scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Belgian outfit.
Another player who could potentially make a move to Norwich in January is Ryan Porteous.
The Scottish Sun earlier this month suggested that the Canaries were keen on making a move for the defender.
Porteous is also understood to be attracting interest from West Bromwich Albion, Watford, Sunderland, Millwall, Stoke City and Hull City.
Having failed to keep a clean-sheet in 10 of their last 12 league games, Norwich may need to bolster their defensive options next month and thus Porteous may fit the bill.
A stand-out performer for Hibernian this season, Porteous has made 1.4 tackles and 3.5 clearances per game in the Scottish Premiership and is currently averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.00 at this level.
