Real Madrid will play in the Women's Champions League Group Stage for the third straight season. The Whites booked their place in the next round after beating Vålerenga in the return leg of the second qualifying round with goals from Toletti ('29), Feller ('68) and Athenea ('95). The madridistas, who remain unbeaten this season, put on a great performance at the Intility Arena in Oslo, where they took full advantage of the 2-1 lead they had gained in the first leg. The draw for the group stage will take place on Friday, 20 October.

The game began with chances for both sides. Feller sent in a cross from the right wing but no one got on the end of it and Toletti and Zornoza tried their luck with long-range shots trying to catch out the goalkeeper. Vålerenga also came agonisingly close to scoring. First, Tvedten's free-kick hit the crossbar and then the same player's shot from outside the box went narrowly wide of the post. Those were promising minutes for the Norwegian side. However, the visitors managed to recover and that was when the deadlock was broken. In the 29th minute, Oihane crossed for Linda, who was tackled inside the area. The rebound was gathered by Toletti who fired in a shot to score her third goal of the season after her brace last time out.

The Whites pressed hard to put the tie to bed and did so in the 68th minute through Feller after a superb counter-attacking move. Athenea broke down the wing and put in a cross for Raso. The Australian's effort was parried by the home keeper, but in the confusion Feller was there to poke home the rebound. Athenea struck in stoppage time to make it three and cap a great game to earn Madrid a place in the Women's Champions League group stage.
