Chicago Fire’s 3-2 win over St. Louis City in MLS wasn’t just memorable for the action on the pitch – but for one young supporter who completely stole the show.
During the match at SeatGeek Stadium, the youngster made a surprise dash from the stands onto the pitch, dressed head-to-toe in football kit.
From there, she hilariously tied two security guards in knots – running circles around them as they struggled to keep up. At one point, she even half-dodged a player while sprinting toward the penalty area.
Eventually, running out of steam, she turned back towards the stands, only for her moment to be perfectly wrapped up by Chicago Fire forward Philip Zinckernagel, with the Danish winger gently lifting her over the barrier and handing her back to the crowd, to huge cheers.
The moment was caught on camera and quickly went viral, with social media users enjoying it just as much as the fans in the stadium.
"Some truly world-class pitch invading by this young Chicago Fire fan," joked one supporter on X. Another quipped: "Yet ANOTHER assist for Zinckernagel. What can’t he do?"
Usually, invading the pitch lands you in hot water – but not this time. If you’re going to do it, you’d better believe being a young scamp helps.
