Match commander gathers evidence against theRangers thugs
Today we deserved nothing out of the game, let’s get that clear, theRangers were the better side on the day and thoroughly deserved their victory, using an attack is the best form of defence strategy that Celtic had no answer to,
That doesn’t mean we can’t complain about events on the park or in this case off it.
Celtic midfielder Arne Engels was hit by an object believed to be a coin towards the end of the game. Luckily Arne wasn’t seriously hurt, but that’s beside the point, as once again a member of our staff was subjected to an act of thuggery from the very same stands.
And the Celtic dugout was hit by missiles in a separate incident that is noted by a short statement this evening.
A Celtic Spokesperson has stated this evening: “We understand that Police Scotland are currently investigating two separate incidents. The repeated targeting of our players and staff with missiles is quite appalling and completely unacceptable”.
The 2nd issue is apparently around missiles thrown at the Celtic dugout in a match that theRangers were on top and won 3-0.
Arne Engels hit by coins at Ibrox
Just a couple of years ago Celtic physio Daniel Friel was scarred for life after being hit with a bottle during a 2-1 victory at Ibrox. In the very same game Joe Hart was faced with possibly injury after broken glass was thrown on the penalty area as the second half of the game was about to start.

And theRangers then like today rightly condemned the thuggish action, but when are they going to face retrospective punishment from the powers that be?
Far too often this sort of thuggish behaviour has been brushed under the carpet. It’s high time the Scottish FA act before someone gets more seriously hurt.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
