Given the nature of transfer deals in the current market, a fee of over £60 million for Eze does appear to represent good value. Eze has proven to be a top quality Premier League contributor during his time at Crystal Palace. Across 29 appearances in all competitions, Eze has contributed 8 goals and 5 assists. On top of his statistical contribution, Eze is often at the heart of Crystal Palace’s attacking moves. As a midfielder, he does appear to be the complete package in an attacking sense. Eze appears to be a player who could potentially fit into Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Whether or not Manchester City will look to spend over £60 million on the Crystal Palace star may well depend on who leaves the champions this summer. If summer departures from City are minimal, they may not look to add a player like Eze to their ranks.
