It’s been a day of mixed blessings for Liverpool.
The Reds have taken the lead against Brentford to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Added to that the return of Mohamed Salah, with the Egypt international back in action for the first time since New Year’s Day.
One piece of bad news for the Merseyside outfit though was an injury suffered by Diogo Jota just before half time in west London.
The Portugal international went down after a strong challenge with stud marks on his knee.
The former Wolves man was then stretchered off the pitch much to the consternation of Jürgen Klopp and his team mates.
Added to that Curtis Jones limping off on the half hour mark, and it’s been an eventful first 45 minutes for the league leaders.
