Why Eden Hazard turned down a PSG offer

Eden Hazard, 34 years old, former attacking midfielder or winger for Belgium, opened up on the show "Zack en roue libre" on Twitch about his career and his near move to Paris Saint-Germain. In this interview, the former Belgian international reveals why he chose to turn his back on the capital club during his last season at Lille, summarizing a choice marked by attachment.

Hazard "PSG had tried"

"PSG had tried, I always stayed in good contact with Nasser (Al-Khelaïfi). During my last year at Lille, I went to see a PSG match, I liked Paris... but I simply didn't want to return to Ligue 1. I had made my mark at Lille, and even for the Lille fans, I couldn't see myself playing against Lille, scoring against them... it just didn't feel right."

We know the transfer market stories, and we remember the "Eden Hazard hype" when he was at Lille. There's no doubt that PSG tried their luck, but it's worth noting that the player then went abroad, also to conquer new territory.
