It’s been a while since Milan and Inter embarked on their quest to purchase San Siro and the surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the Meazza Committee had tried to throw a spanner in the works by appealing to the court.

However, the TAR rejected the appeal, handing the Milan giants a crucial boost.

Next steps in the process begin on July 21, when the City Council’s Executive Committee plans to issue a resolution.

Then, once the Council grants approval, the clubs will sign the official deed of sale for the stadium and the surrounding areas.

However, the deal will include a termination clause that sets a deadline for obtaining all necessary construction permits.

Furthermore, if the clubs fail to secure those permits by the deadline, the contract will automatically end.

On the bright side, AC Milan and Inter will have between seven and eight months to develop the final project.
