Manchester City’s teammates have held dialogue with Ederson over his Etihad Stadium futute, according to one club insider this week.

The Brazilian shot-stopper has been at the centre of transfer interest for the entirety of the summer market thus far, with a number of potential suitors emerging from across the ever-ambitious Saudi Pro League.

Al-Nassr have been widely discussed as being the strongest suitor for Ederson’s signature in recent days, however their opening and only proposal to Manchester City fell way short of the Premier League side’s valuation, thus terminating interest.

Manchester City are believed to be eyeing a transfer fee of between €50 million and €60 million this summer, and a new club has since been made aware of that valuation, with Al-Ittihad now entering the race to lure Ederson to Saudi Arabia.

But what do Manchester City’s players and the first-team squad at the Etihad Stadium know about Ederson’s future, and what has the Brazilian goalkeeper been saying upon his return to the City Football Academy earlier this week?

According to the information of Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X, Ederson has told some of his Etihad Stadium team-mates that he ‘remains happy’ with the Premier League champions, speaking upon returning to training ground duties this week.

However, it is further revealed that Manchester City’s number one goalkeeper has been ‘coy’ about Saudi Arabia’s ongoing and previous efforts to sign him this summer.

At present, it remains to be seen whether Al Ittihad will provide a sufficient financial proposal to Manchester City to make a departure agreement make sense. But given the latest revelations from within the camp, it appears as though Ederson would have no issue staying.

The 30-year-old is currently in the United States alongside his Manchester City teammates as they take on a run of four matches along the eastern coast of the country, taking on Scottish Premier League champions Celtic in their opening clash.

While many of Manchester City’s first-team regulars remain absent from Pep Guardiola’s squad in the States, Ederson is joined by his goalkeeping contingent, with Stefan Ortega Moreno and Scott Carson both reporting back for training at the first opportunity.
