As reported by Florian Plettenberg, VfB Stuttgart are expecting Bayern Munich to make their first formal approach for Nick Woltemade later today.
Der Rekordmeister have been able to fight off competition from the likes of Chelsea and Napoli to convince the German U21 international to make the move to the Allianz Arena this summer.
However, now an agreement has to be made with the Swabian outfit.
Despite recent reports suggesting that Stuttgart would demand around €100 million for Woltemade’s signature, it is understood that Sebastian Hoeneß’s side consider a fee between €60 and 70 million to be reasonable.
Therefore, a deal is expected to be made with Bayern identifying the versatile forward as their primary transfer target this summer.
As well as this, Bayern could look to incorporate Paul Wanner into the deal, whether it be a permanent or temporary move for the 19-year-old.
While Stuttgart hold interest in the midfielder, Werder Bremen are also keen to strike a deal with the German champions, meaning that Wanner is not a critical tool in the Woltemade transfer saga.
