Arsenal may have to wait a little longer before seeing one of their own crowned PFA Premier League Player of the Year, with the award for the 2024/2025 season expected to go elsewhere.
Despite finishing second in the Premier League last term, the Gunners lacked a standout performer who could be considered the best in the entire division. Several players impressed, most notably Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, although the latter’s campaign was interrupted by injury.
Saka has been a consistent force for Arsenal over the past few seasons and will again be central to their title ambitions this year. The winger dreams of ending the club’s long trophy drought and has the potential to become one of the rare modern players to spend his entire career at a single club.
However, until he inspires Arsenal to major silverware, individual accolades such as the PFA Player of the Year could remain out of reach. According to a Football365 report, Saka is predicted to be a leading contender for the 2025/2026 award, ranking as the bookmakers’ early favourite.
The England international is tipped to have a strong season, potentially guiding Arsenal to glory. Rice also features prominently in the projections, sitting joint-third alongside Mohamed Salah in the early odds.

For Arsenal’s stars to claim such prestigious honours, collective achievement may be key. Should the Gunners finally win the league, players like Saka and Rice would not only have the medals to show for it but also a far greater chance of earning individual recognition at the end of the season.
