Arsenal now know exactly what they have to do to sign Viktor Gyokeres after talks with the £86million striker’s camp. A new forward is the key priority for the Gunners with Victor Osimhen and Serhou Guirassy also on their radar, plus Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich, Mikel Merino and Johan Bakayoko.

Chelsea are another team keen to improve their frontline having signed Estevao Willian and they are reportedly a frontrunner to land Nico Williams from Athletic Club, along with Arsenal, having ended their interest in Stuttgart’s Guirassy. The Blues are set to announce the signing of Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa this week after he completed a medical, with Ian Maatsen going in the opposite direction. Chelsea are also now set to land Barcelona starlet Marc Guiu and are in talks over Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino.

Manchester United have made a move for Manuel Ugarte at PSG and continue to chase Leny Yoro alongside Liverpool and Real Madrid while also looking to bring back former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy as part of Erik ten Hag’s staff. The Red Devils like Jonathan David too, but he has most recently been linked with Tottenham, who may be looking at Sebastian Szymanski. Spurs confirm two new arrivals as Postecoglou makes key promotion

Tottenham have confirmed key changes to Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Spurs have been looking for reinforcements to their backroom team after Chris Davies departed earlier this month to take up the managerial reins at relegated Birmingham in League One. His place as the senior assistant to head coach Postecoglou has now been taken by Matt Wells, the former academy player and Under-18s boss who returned to Tottenham last year as an assistant having worked with ex-Spurs midfielder Scott Parker at Fulham, Bournemouth and in Belgium with Club Brugge. Ten Hag close to new Man Utd deal as Van Nistelrooy waits to join staff

Erik ten Hag’s new contract at Manchester United is imminent.

Earlier this month, following a lengthy post-season performance review, Sir Jim Ratcliffe decided not to sack the manager after his FA Cup triumph took some focus off the club’s worst-ever Premier League finish.

What’s more, it was expected that United would present Ten Hag with a new deal at Old Trafford.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Dutchman is close to agreeing a fresh two-year contract worth a cool £27m.

Such an agreement will apparently include a revamp of his coaching staff, with United legend and compatriot Ruud van Nistelrooy set to come on board having reportedly rejected the chance to succeed Vincent Kompany as Burnley boss.

Man Utd fail in opening bid for Manuel Ugarte

Manchester United’s opening offer for Manuel Ugarte has been rejected.

It was reported earlier that the Red Devils had tabled an official bid for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, who snubbed Chelsea last summer in order to join PSG from Sporting Lisbon.

However, that offer has now been rebuffed by the French giants, who apparently want to recoup as much of the €60m fee they paid for the Uruguayan international only a year ago, per French publication L’Equipe.

Ugarte is currently on La Celeste duty at the Copa America tournament in the USA.

Man Utd boost as Joshua Zirkzee rivals eye alternatives

Girona forward Artem Dovbyk is Milan’s primary alternative, according to TMW, with rival interest coming from Atletico Madrid and Napoli.

“We must not buy to sell, we must buy to consolidate the project,” said Girona director Quique Carcel recently.
