Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed head coach Robert Vilahamn off the back of a poor season in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites afternoon.

The 42-year-old was appointed Spurs head coach in summer 2023 after impressing in his time with Swedish club BK Häcken. In his first year in North London, Vilahamn gave Spurs a licence to thrill. The Lilywhites were one of the most entertaining sides in the Barclays Women’s Super League, often leading by attack rather than defence. Spurs ended the campaign in sixth position while they reached a first Adobe Women’s FA Cup final where they were beaten by Manchester United.

The 2024/2025 season promised more excitement and progression but unfortunately, Spurs didn’t deliver. The club managed to win just five of their 22 league matches and ended the campaign one place above the relegation zone. Spurs ended the campaign without a win in 10 league games.

Off the back of a hugely disappointing campaign, Spurs opted to review Vilahamn’s position as head coach and a decision has been made to end his tenure.

Spurs will now begin the recruitment process in a bid to appoint a new head coach ahead of pre-season.
