A considerable contingent of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona opted against taking the day off training on Wednesday.

That’s according to Jijantes, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

Barcelona’s squad have been afforded a couple of days of well-earned rest this week, following the conclusion of their pre-season tour of Asia.

This comes ahead of a return to action this weekend, in a Joan Gamper Trophy meeting with Serie A outfit Como.

With the 2025/26 campaign fast approaching, however, a group of seven players opted to report to the Blaugrana’s training base for individual sessions on Wednesday morning.

That’s according to Jijantes, who, after it was originally reported that Gavi and Ferran Torres were the only players in attendance, have since confirmed that all of Andreas Christensen, Oriol Romeu, Roony Bardghji, Raphinha and Fermín López were spotted at the Ciutat Esportiva, too.
