Former Real Madrid starlet Takefusa Kubo showed absolutely no hesitation, in making clear his feelings regarding the nature of Los Blancos’ downing of Real Sociedad on Friday night.

La Real, of course, kicked the latest La Liga gameweek into gear a short time ago.

Welcoming Carlo Ancelotti’s title-bound Real Madrid to Anoeta, Imanol’s troops no doubt fancied their chances of emerging with something to show for their efforts, against a heavily-rotated visiting XI.

When all was said and done, however, all three points made their way back to Madrid.

As much came owing to a solitary strike on the part of Arda Güler, just inside the half-hour mark in San Sebastián.

Hosts Real Sociedad, for their part, saw two goals disallowed over the course of the 90 minutes, one for a foul in the buildup, and one for offside.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, the subject of the officiating decisions to have gone against his side, in turn, was inevitably put to the aforementioned Kubo.

And the Japanese, in his response, made his feelings crystal clear.

Honing in chiefly on Sociedad’s first disallowed goal, which he himself netted, Kubo suggested that Aurélien Tchouaméni was extremely lucky to have seen a foul awarded in his favour following a VAR check:

“Barrene is going to tackle and the player (Tchouaméni) who loses the ball falls asleep,” he began, as cited by Diario Sport. “I don’t know what would happen in the Champions League, but I don’t think they’re going to get whistled.”

The former Real Madrid winger did not stop there, either, doubling down in adding:

“Anyone who has seen the game knows that we deserved to win. It’s a shame for the fans, who came despite the rain and the time change.

“They (Real Madrid) were lucky. They have conceded twice and there were six or seven of us and I scored a goal, but in the end what will be remembered is the result, which is what matters.”
