Real Madrid pair Camavinga & Tchouaméni join Arsenal star on 5-man award shortlist | OneFootball

Two headline members of the midfield setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday been named on the shortlist for a prestigious individual prize.

The accolade in question? The UNFP Best French Player Abroad.

The award is handed out on an annual basis, to the standout French performer to have plied their club trade outside of the country over the prior 12 months.

Recent years have seen the winners’ list completely dominated by former Real Madrid standout Karim Benzema.

This time round, though, two other members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad are in the running, in the form of Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurélien Tchouaméni.

The Blancos pair will be forced to beat out stiff competition in their respective hopes of emerging atop the podium.

This comes with all of AC Milan shot-stopper Mike Maignan, Atlético Madrid talisman Antoine Griezmann, and Arsenal stalwart William Saliba also on the shortlist of nominees.
