FC San Pedro and Stade d'Abidjan face off in an unpredictable clash

The kickoff for the 2025-2026 football season will take place this Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in Côte d’Ivoire with the Super Cup final between FC San Pedro and Stade d'Abidjan.

Named the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Super Cup, this trophy is contested every year between the champion of the Côte d’Ivoire Ligue 1 and the winner of the domestic cup.

Stade d’Abidjan, the champions of Côte d’Ivoire, have already lifted the trophy twice, in 1985 and 2018. On the other hand, FC San Pedro are chasing their first ever title in this competition.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro.

It is worth noting that the 2024 edition was cancelled due to fixture congestion, while RC Abidjan claimed the trophy in 2023.
