Standard Liege have announced the signing of Rodez striker Timothé Nkada on a three year deal. The 26-year-old striker joins the club from Rodez in France, where he was one of the best performing Ligue 2 forwards last season. In 32 games for the side he scored 17 goals and provided five assists.

Nkada began his career with Rennes, but never featured for the first team. In 2019 he moved to Reims, where he made eight appearances for the main side. However, he spent most of his time at the club out on loan, with spells in Denmark and Orleans. In 2023 he left French football to join Koper in Slovenia, where he spent two seasons. After going goalless in his first campaign, the striker scored 11 goals in 31 matches during the 2023/2024 season to earn a move back to France.

Standard Liege have been one of the more active sides under new Sporting Director Marc Wilmots. Their business does not appear to be done either. Wilmots has been tasked with returning Standard Liege to a club capable of competing for European places, something that has not been the case in recent seasons.
