Leonardo Spinazzola leaves Roma after spending the last five years in the Italian capital.

The Italian fullback wrote an emotional message on Instagram thanking the club and its fans for the support over the years.

”Dear Romanisti, It is with a mixture of emotion and sadness that I write this message to bid farewell to you.

After an unforgettable experience, the time has come for me to leave Roma.We rejoiced and we cried, we rejoiced and we suffered, together. Together we touched the sky in Tirana, together we got up from nights like the one in Budapest. During my time in Rome I also had the honour of lifting the European Championship with the Italian national team. I have experienced moments of joy and pride, which will remain imprinted in my memory forever. But I also faced difficult times. In those dark moments, I have always felt your support. You gave me the strength to fight to come back stronger than before. Every time I took to the field, I struggled and sweated with all my strength for these colours. Rome will always remain in my heart. I am proud to have contributed to the club’s journey, to have brought Rome and Roma back to the biggest stages in Europe, to have given my all on the field and to have shared moments of joy and suffering with you. I would like to thank every person who was part of my time here. From teammates to coaching staff, clubs, fans. Each of you has helped make this experience unique. Thank you for supporting, encouraging and making me feel part of your family.
