“It was very special. I didn’t expect it, talking to my family before the match they told me: “Look if you score a goal in the derby…”. After I scored I looked for them but couldn’t find them, I found them later, at the end of the match.”

“During the celebration I didn’t know what to do, then it was a shame to have drawn because we tried to win, but it was beautiful, a unique emotion.”

“I think the Argentine fans and the ones in Rome are really similar. There they are crazy, on both sides. With Athletic, all those flags, the stadium full. In all the matches, too: even if we played on Monday at midnight, the stadium would always be full.”

“Our ambitions? We aim for the top. In these last two we have not lost, but we have a bitter taste in our mouths. We needed to win, if we draw again it is of no use to us.”

“They were games in which, obviously, we met strong teams that did well. We have to play as if they were all finals, to get to the Champions League, which is our objective.”
