According to journalist Gerard Romero (h/t Fichajes), Xavi has decided to continue at Barcelona for another season.

“Even after El Clásico today, I see more chances of Xavi staying than leaving,” said Romero.

After a season marked by both highs and lows, as well as speculation surrounding his future, Xavi has made a decision that has surprised but also pleased Barcelona fans.

This news comes unexpectedly, particularly given the coach’s comments following Barcelona’s tough loss to Villarreal in La Liga in late January.

At the time, the manager mentioned he planned to leave the club at the end of the season, which left fans and the media uncertain.

Even after the first leg against PSG in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, the coach maintained that the victory did not impact his decision. However, this immediate turnaround is now set to surprise many.
