Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers are preparing to launch a bid for Juventus right-back Nicolo Savona, as reports from Italy claim the Bianconeri would be prepared to sell if a suitable offer arrived.

According to what has been reported by Tuttosport, via CalcioMercato, Wolves have turned their attention to Savona after Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez edges closer to a move to Napoli.

Newcastle United were linked with a move for Savona last month but nothing concrete materialised. Bournemouth have also been named as a potential destination for the 22-year-old but now it appears that Wolves lead the race.

The reports claim that Wolves are preparing an offer of around €17-18 million for the player, plus a 10% resale clause. Juventus may be tempted by this offer, despite the full-back recently renewing his contract with the Bianconeri.

Savona played 28 times in Serie A for Juventus last season, scoring twice and assisting one goal. He also featured in seven Champions League ties and starred for the Bianconeri at the Club World Cup before suffering an ankle injury.
