Real Madrid could be in line for a significant financial boost without having to make any effort, as club president Florentino Perez is open to letting go of former academy talent Nico Paz from the club’s grasp, reports Real Madrid Confidencial.
The young midfielder, currently playing for Cesc Fabregas’s Como, could generate €20 million for the Spanish giants if a transfer materialises.
It must be remembered that Real Madrid hold a 50% stake in Paz’s rights, meaning any potential sale for around €40 million would see them pocket half of that amount.
Given how crucial financial operations have been in shaping the squad in recent years, this situation presents a valuable opportunity for the club.
Selling a player without having him on their books and still making a considerable profit is an ideal scenario from a business perspective.

Paz has developed into one of the most exciting prospects in Italian football, attracting interest from clubs across Europe. While it might be bittersweet for Real Madrid to part ways with a player they once nurtured, the financial gain could play a key role in their future plans.
A move to the Premier League appears to be a strong possibility, as the competition’s playing style could suit Paz’s qualities.
His technical ability and vision make him a strong candidate for success in England’s top flight. If a club from that league decides to meet Como’s asking price, Real Madrid will have a major decision to make.
Perez now faces the task of determining whether to allow the deal to go through or hold out for further developments.
One thing is clear—if this transfer happens, the funds could be reinvested into strengthening the squad, keeping the club in a strong position for the future.
