According to a report from L’Équipe and confirmed by Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Lille OSC for goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier (23).

The two clubs have agreed on a transfer of €40m excluding bonuses, with the France international set to sign a five-year contract (having already agreed on personal terms last month with the capital club). Chevalier should be a PSG player ahead of the club’s match against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Super Cup, which will take place on Wednesday, the 13th of August, where he will likely make his debut.

The arrival of Chevalier in the French capital likely spells the end for Gianluigi Donnarumma (26), who has entered the final year of his contract and has yet to agree on an extension. However, it may prove hard for PSG to move the Italian on to pastures new, despite Manchester United being linked to a move, as he is unwilling to accept a project that does not suit him fully.
