Italy international Gianluigi Donnarumma is being pushed out of Paris Saint-Germain with reports they’re paying €55m for replacement Lucas Chevalier rather than pay his wage demands.
The situation has now reached a head, because after contract negotiations broke down completely, PSG turned to bring in a new goalkeeper.
Somewhat surprising is the sheer cost of the operation, especially considering Donnarumma is being forced out because the club is no longer prepared to pay the salary he has been on since joining as a free agent from Milan in 2021.

According to RMC Sport, the total for the agreement with LOSC over Chevalier is €40m plus €15m in various add-ons, making him one of the most expensive goalkeepers in history.
L’Equipe claim that PSG are trying to get the deal over the line quickly so that Chevalier can take the gloves in the upcoming UEFA Super Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur on August 13.
That will be played at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, so Donnarumma had been looking forward to being on home soil, instead it looks as if he has already played his final game for the club.
It comes after Donnarumma put in decisive performances to win the Champions League, Ligue 1, Coupe de France and French Super Cup trophies last season.
The Italian is also nominated for the Ballon d’Or as well as the Yachine Award.
