Inter Milan take on River Plate in the Club World Cup this evening.

This will be the Nerazzurri’s final match of the group stage. They drew against Monterrey in the first match, before beating Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds.

There is everything to play for. If Inter get at least a draw against River they would guarantee progression to the round of sixteen. Meanwhile, with a win they will guarantee top spot in the group.

This will be Cristian Chivu’s third ever match in charge as Inter coach.

Meanwhile, striker Francecso Pio Esposito makes his first ever start for the Nerazzurri.

Speaking before this evening’s match, Inter wingback Nicola Zalewski called it “a very tricky match.”

“We know the opponent,” said the 23-year-old. “We’ve seen how they play.”

“We’ll try to give our all for this club. These colours. These fans. We’ll try to bring home the win.”

Then, Zalewski spoke about his response to the fact that he has become an Inter player on a permanent basis. “Buying dinner is the least I can do for the team,” said the Pole.

“For the staff. For how I’ve been welcomed, and how I am treated every day.”

“I repeat, buying dinner would be the least I can do. I’m very happy to be here.”
