Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos has insisted he is happy in the French capital, amidst rumours that a move to Manchester United could be on the cards.

United’s top priority this summer is to address their dire lack of goals following a toothless 2024/25 campaign that ended with the club slumping to 15th place and a damaging -10 goal difference. At the heart of this plan is the pursuit of a dependable striker.

The Red Devils are on the hunt for someone who can either take over from the underperforming Rasmus Hojlund or partner with him to help shoulder the club’s goal-scoring responsibilities.

Liam Delap was United’s first-choice target but he opted for a switch to Chelsea instead. A swoop for Viktor Gyokeres has been floated, but it appears unlikely, not only due to his ongoing public feud with Sporting CP, but also because he is widely believed to favour a move to Arsenal.

Other strikers mentioned to be on United’s radar include Victor Osimhen of Napoli and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško, though both players would come with a hefty price tag.

United may be forced to cast a wider net in their search for a top-class talisman, hence the claims that Ramos is of interest to them as a potential option.

A report covered by The Peoples Person earlier this month relayed that United had been offered the chance to sign Ramos.

It was stated that PSG are open to parting ways with the Portugal international, prompting his representatives to initiate talks with several clubs, with United among them.

The Ligue 1 giants value Ramos at £50m, although they may be persuaded to lower their asking price.

However, the 24-year-old has come out and emphasised that he has no desire to part ways with PSG this summer.

Ahead of PSG’s second group stage match against Botafogo in the ongoing Club World Cup, Ramos spoke to the media and addressed his future.

He said [as quoted by PSG Talk], “My situation? I’m very happy here!”

“Everyone talks, but to me, it means nothing! We’re all working together, but we want to win even more trophies!”

Ramos scored 18 goals and provided an additional six assists for PSG in the 2024/25 season, as the French outfit won Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Champions League.
