England may have found another gem to try and cram into their starting XI this summer as Cole Palmer found the back of the net on his debut.
The Chelsea man has enjoyed a fantastic debut season for the London club, helping them qualify for the UEFA Conference League, and his form was rewarded by Southgate ahead of EURO 2024, calling the 21-year-old up to the national set up and handing him his full debut against Bosnia.
It was far from a vintage Three Lions performance, but they were handed a penalty just before the hour mark after a VAR review adjudged Ezri Konsa to have had his shirt pulled from a corner.
With no Harry Kane on the pitch, Palmer stepped up to convert his 10th spot kick of the season, with what proved to be his final kick of the game as he was promptly substituted.
Handy from the spot, his performances in England colours may be giving Southgate even more headaches in attack ahead of the opening game of the tournament.
