No talks between Stuttgart and Valentin Atangana or Reims | OneFootball

Contrary to reports that Stuttgart have reached an agreement with Valentin Atangana, Bild report that this is not the case. The Bundesliga side are interested in signing the Cameroonian, but there has been no concrete negotiations with the player’s entourage of his club.

As reported via our colleagues at Get French Football News, Stade de Reims see Atangana as a sellable asset following their relegation to Ligue 2. The 19-year-old defensive midfielder is “highly rated after his breakthrough campaign.” According to Transfermarkt, the player’s market value currently stands at €10m, up €9m from the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

Atangana featured in every Ligue 1 game for Reims last season, including their two playoff games against FC Metz. With Stuttgart’s participation in Europe this season, they need added depth and the Cameroonian would add defensive stability to the squad alongside Atakan Karazor and Angelo Stiller.

Fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have also shown interest in signing Atangana.
