AS Monaco are casting their net far and wide as they look to bring in a new No.1 this summer. As per Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Stade Rennais’ Brice Samba (31) is the latest name to be considered by the Principality club.
Monaco’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, stated at the start of the summer that the club would be looking to sign a new goalkeeper, after the club’s current options, Radoslaw Majecki and Philipp Köhn, failed to provide sufficient assurances over the course of the last campaign.
David De Gea was linked before he extended his deal at Fiorentina. RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Djordje Petrovic has been linked, as has Manchester United’s André Onana. Ugurcan Cakir is still being considered by the Principality club, as is Vanja Milinković-Savić, as per Foot Mercato.
Samba, who only joined Rennes from RC Lens in January, is the latest name to be added to Monaco’s shortlist as their search for a new No.1 continues.
